Idol at The Winery at St. George
Rules and Regulations

1. Have fun.

2. All participants will choose their choice of songs from our "karaoke" library; for the first evening of the competition, contestant will submit via E-mail three choices of song in order of preference – song requests will be verified ahead of time by contest staff; any additional songs not found in our library can be provided by the participants as long as they are in a compatible format.

3. Performers will be given at least one song per night as long as they remain in the contest. Your song choice for the following Tuesday evening's competition must be provided to our karaoke team at the end of the evening each week.

4. Performers must attend every week of competition (10 weeks).

5. Performers will be judged on vocal ability, stage presence and originality (song styling, song choice).

6. The judges (three) will count for three-quarters of the vote with the other quarter provided by audience vote – a counting of raised hands in house.

7. Judges will rate and award contestants on a scale from 1 through 10. Audience votes will be counted as such: Every 10 (ten) hands raised to vote for contestant will count as 1 (one) point of final score. Example: 30 (thirty) hands raised, equals 3 (three) points, 32 (thirty-two) equals 3.2. The total of audience votes will be counted as the rating of a fourth judge. So, every single vote of your family and friends is counted and does matter!

8. The Judges decision is final.

9. Each week (before Finals week) a certain percent of the participants will be asked to leave the competition determined by either their lack of points or a percentage of the number of initial participants.

10. Each week the field will get tighter, only 5 (five) contestants will make it to the grand finale to be held on Tuesday May 12, 2020.

11. A special wild card night may be inserted in the course of the contest (TBD) to allow new word of mouth participation by fresh talent. It will be a special "open mic" event where one or more contestants will be added to the field for however long they last. This talent will be at a disadvantage to the established performers via a point system. Producers also reserve the right to insert additional contestants at any time during the programs run.

12. All ties will be decided by a special tie breaker vote of the judges.

13. Prizes will be provided and awarded by staff of TWASG upon completion of competition on Tuesday May 12, 2020.

14. Venue and Producers have the right to cancel, suspend or alter the program and prizes at any time due to lack of participation, poor attendance, etc.
